How much does a 5-a-side pitch cost in the UK?

Typically £40–£80 per hour depending on city and surface — around £60/hour is common for a 3G pitch at peak evening slots. Split between 10 players that's £6 each.

What's the fairest way to split pitch cost?

Split the total (pitch + ref + extras) equally between everyone who plays, and round each share up to the nearest 50p so it's easy to transfer. Keep any surplus in a kitty for the next booking or a spare ball.

Should no-shows still pay?

Most regular groups say yes if they dropped out after the booking was committed — the pitch cost doesn't shrink because someone bailed. Agree the rule before the season starts, not after the first argument.
